Best For: Managing respiratory disorders (cough, cold, asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough), loosening chest congestion, treating tuberculosis, controlling skin problems (ringworm, itching, rashes, boils), reducing fever, managing arthritis pain and swelling, and supporting digestive health.
Usage: For cough/cold, take ¼-½ teaspoon powder with honey twice daily. For decoction, boil 1 teaspoon powder in water until reduced, strain and drink warm. For skin issues, make paste with water or honey and apply on affected areas. Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding as it may stimulate uterine contractions.
Adoosa is commonly called Vasa in Ayurveda. The whole plant is a very popular medicinal plant. Leaves, flowers, and roots possess medicinal properties.
It reduces joint pains and swelling associated with arthritis and gout. It also reduces cramps due to its antispasmodic properties.
