“Charoli seed” (also spelled charoli, chironji, or chironjee) is the edible seed of the Buchanania lanzan tree, which is native to India and some parts of Southeast Asia. These seeds are small, oval, and light yellow to brown in color, and they have a delicate, nutty flavor somewhat similar to almonds or pine nuts.
Rich in proteins, healthy fats, and minerals like magnesium, calcium, and iron.
Traditionally considered good for the brain and nervous system in Ayurvedic medicine.
Used for its energy-boosting properties and sometimes for skin and hair health.
